The Partner Who Left

You and Ray have held a partnership license for eleven years. Two crews, four jobs open, a school gym re-roof that runs into November. On a Tuesday in March, Ray tells you he is done — he is moving to Oregon and leaving the partnership at the end of the month. Nobody has died. Nobody has done anything wrong. The work is good and the customers are happy.
